My journey as an entrepreneur started when I was 16 years old, trading cars. My life’s circumstances meant I had to be the man of the house and primary provider at a young age and I’m proud to say, I stood up to the challenge.
I built relationships and partnerships – connections which led me to run a one-stop-shop car business – selling cars, offering mechanic services, a body shop and of course, a car wash.
Eventually, I sold that business for a sizeable profit and started working on the music scene developing entertainment events and festivals. That was followed by an electrical company and a building company.
Then, I had a breakdown. You may read that and think it was a bad thing but that breakdown led me to my own coach towards the end of that coaching period, I had a lightbulb moment which got me to where I am now.
Today, as a Coach and business mentor, I offer a wealth of experience. I’ve developed and been involved in many businesses including everything to do with cars from mechanics to hire services.
I have been a DJ, involved with a record label and organised large scale events in and around some of the UK’s biggest clubs.
My knowledge of property and building ranges from development and maintenance right through to final sale and the work of an estate agent and I still own businesses in the beauty, shop and wholesale industries.
Many of these businesses have been very successful, some not so.
Needless to say, I have learnt much along the way. There was however always one thing that remained consistent throughout the years: I have always been the coach, mentor and support system for the people around me.
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD.
Like many successful entrepreneurs, I see this as my superpower and gift. It isn’t something that holds me back but, I have first hand knowledge of the challenges this can throw up – such as having an excess of ideas and not knowing which to focus on first, finding it hard to concentrate on the task at hand or hyperfocusing on things that are enjoyable but procrastinating on other essential jobs.
I am passionate about helping other entrepreneurs with ADHD to use it as their superpower and offer specialist business coaching for entrepreneurs with ADHD.
I am lucky. My life, my choices, circumstances and lifestyle have provided me with many highs coupled with a variety of lows but one thing remains true; if there is one ladder, I would give it to you and work out how to save myself.
I’m not average, but if you wanted average or to be average, you probably wouldn’t be searching for a coach.
